Downtown Main Street here in Visalia is a thriving area. Unlike so many towns this area has been turned into a place for people to go and eat, drink and enjoy themselves almost every night of the week. So this is one of many restaurants along the several blocks of our nice little community. But this is not just another place. This is one that excels in their menu, service, and pricing. It is Mexican food served in the California style, not too hot, but you may order more heat if that is what you prefer. We find that the regular meals are just about perfect. Enchiladas and Chili Rellenos, or burritos and salads are our normal choices, but everything is good. The Margaritas are also quite to our liking and they serve both regular and large sized for those who like to really enjoy. Several beers are also available.

Alejandra’s on Main Street is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the local area. They offer a large menu served California style, a little milder than many places, with the option of getting more heat if you’d like it. You can order your burritos and enchiladas with or without meat (ground or shredded beef or chicken). They serve terrific Margaritas in regular size and a very large size for those who really are serious drinkers. Of course they also serve a large list of beers. This has been a real tradition along Main street and they have recently had the opportunity to expand and make themselves 50% bigger. The remodeling is finished and they are full every night. I don’t know how they managed before. I very highly recommend this place!
