So I have been in Spain for more than a week now, but it still hasn't hit me that I am here. Maybe it is because I haven't been speaking Spanish. I should change that, soon! So I arrived in Madrid on the 22nd. The hostel I stayed at (Mad Hostel) was okay. The location wasn't bad, but then again you can walk everywhere in downtown Madrid. We started out by taking the metro to the grand "Atocha" train station. When we got off the metro (which led directly to the station) we went into a memorial dedicated to all the victims of the terrorist attack held in this same station on 3/11/04. It was very impacting. In a week spend in Alcalà with Giusi I could learn many things about her life in Spain,i also had the chance to go to university with her e listen some law lessons in spanish,even if I didn't understand almost anything.I also went out with her international friends,every night in a different club.it was fun! Talking about more touristic stuff...Alcalà is a very pretty place, with many nice buildings(such as Cervantes' house),churchs,small streets...etc..etc..  

I went to see the Mathematical conference and some friends of my family. We visited Madrid, Alcala, and Guadalajara.
