Jan '07 til present Working Vacation Camping/hiking/mountain climbing/kayaking/whitewater rafting/mountain biking/snowboarding/caving/paragliding/dog sledding... Most beautiful place in Canada, everyone should experience it at least once (also the easiest place to get work if you decide to stay)...

In 2002 we rented a camper and visited some of the National Parks of British Columbia and Alberta.

I drove most of the way to BC with my best friend. A trip to never be forgotten.

We enjoyed the Stampede today!  Be careful if you put your kids in charge of the budget!  They can get picky.  They convinced me last night to skip the shuttle and we were kindly refunded our $40.  Early this morning we drove our big rig throughout a major city, down small streets, with construction barriers, and 3km runners.  Fortunately, Calgary was reduced traffic this Sunday morning.  By 7:15 am. we'd paid $20 total for 2 parking spots...

I live and work in Fort McMurray. It's a boom town with a population currently at 80,000 and growing fast. Unemployment is nearly 0% and job security is guaranteed. The town has some problems, but it's home for me right now and I have to make the most of it.

Instead of doing a separate blog for each trip, I thought it would be interesting to do one for all the major trips I've been on, business or personal.

After a flight of seven hours, we arrived around 8.00 pm at Calgary, Canada, for a three week roadtrip around the westcoast of Canada. After we picked up our car for the trip, we went to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel it was already dark, so we went to bed early. The trip will begin the next morning.

I absolutely love this place! I was only there for 12days and loved it so much I am already planning to go back for a whole year as soon as I can! Would definately recommend the HI Hostel, it was a bit out of town (but a nice walk to do, especially in the morning) but very sociable.

The plane left London Heathrow at 12:30. Air Canada were great. Entertainment with a personal TV choice, you could pick which film you wanted to watch or there was a selction of TV shows and Radio Stations. Food and Drinks just kept on coming. We were well looked after. We arrived in Calgary at 14:30 canadian time and waited another hour while Dad tried to find the car we had hired. Success at last and now we off to the middle of nowhere. It was soooo cold !!! More than in Chicago, but I loved that city !
