This day was so changeable - hot,cold, dark, bright - and ended with an amazing wind storm & drizzle! Only in Alberta....they say "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes." How true. The clouds cast eerie shows at times... What an amazing "backyard" the Rockies are for Calgarians. We take much for granted.

This Sunday May 10th, 2009; Hubby, dancr, wanted to take me and the girls into the Rockies and explore the beauty of Johnston Canyon. What a place to see and later we went to Lake Lousie ... the canyon was the best ... an adventurous walk that all TB members should explore and experience!!

In March of 2009, I flew from LAX to YYC. My trip started on St. Patrick's Day, and yes I wore green (no, not Kelly Green or anything obnoxious)! Hehehe I traveled with a group of three other friends. Our days were filled with either touring the magnificent landscape of the Canadian Rockies, hiking through waist deep snow (at times), trekking over slick ice canyons (using our Ice Cleats of course) or spent swooshing down the slopes of Lake Louise and Sunshine Village! A much recommended trip!
