Albergue Otero Pedrouzo Reviews
Cheap Place to Rest your Head Jun 25, 2014
Otero was another hostel with multiple guests all just sleeping in one large room. It had two rooms that each slept about fifteen. We were provided with the sanitary covers for the bunks again and I am pretty sure there were blankets in the cupboards between the bunks. The cupboards were nice because they gave everyone some free storage space but they did have the disadvantage that they didn’t lock.
This hostel had a small kitchen area up the hall from the two sleeping rooms. There was also a TV up here and was once again where we congregated instead of by the bunks. Unfortunately, the volume from this room drifted into the sleeping rooms very easily so while my trio didn’t get very loud, some teenagers were requested to tone it down by people trying to get some rest.
The restrooms here were small, only two showers for all the women. Luckily, we didn’t have trouble getting clean when we wanted. The showers were the least private of any of the hostels we stayed in though.
The laundry room here also had shelving for your hiking shoes, very nice for letting them air out. Clotheslines were strung in here, helpful despite being a little high for my short five-foot-one frame.
The outlet situation here was just like at Don Quijote with one spot in the room but I think the extension cord actually made a few more spots to charge available.
I was able to get enough sleep here but appreciated knowing that the next night we would be in our own private room again.
