Albergue O Durmiñento Sarria Reviews
Nice Private Rooms Jun 20, 2014
We stayed one night at this hostel. We arrived in Sarria by way of train versus hiking in on the Camino so it was a bit of a trek uphill for us, but the hostel's front door literally opens out onto the Camino.
Check-in was really quick and easy.
The room was small but had plenty of space for the three of us. We had a simple view out to the church. The window could open two different ways which was nice for ventilation. The bed was comfy. Pillows, sheets, and blankets were provided. We did not have any difficulty charging up batteries here either (a couple of outlets). The room did not lock but that was expected.
The women's bathroom at the end of the hallway was small but had some privacy with the showers. There was also an outside terrace on our third level where you could enjoy the view or dry laundry.
The first floor had a kitchen area and large table. Someone had brought their bike in and kept it here overnight.
There was a small sitting area (six or so people could fit here comfortably) near the front entrance. This area had a TV.
The hostel did not appear to have their own bar/restaurant (although the one website I found says otherwise) but we had plenty of eating options nearby.
When we left in the morning we had to make sure we had everything because once we exited, the door would lock behind us which was nice for safety at night.
Overall I was very pleased with our stay here.
