Alba D'Oro Camping Travel Reviews

Nov 23, 2007
The campsite is about 30 minutes outside the city but the site runs a shuttle to and from Venice for only a couple euros and it leaves every hour. It is a great option for Venice. We stayed in a 'pin' for only about 15 or 16 euros a night. It was a 3 bed dorm with air conditioning and a bathroom with lots of hot water. There are also cabins for families as well as camp sites for trailers. Another option is the tents that are super cheap but really tiny and hot in the summer. Its totally worth it to 'splurge' for the pins.

The campsite is like a small town. It has a restaurant, bar, supermarket(that sells cheap wine), a heated swimming pool, and a volleyball court...among other things. Its a great place to stay in Venice if you are on a budget.

Filled with gorgeous antiques and pantings. Our package included breakfast each morning in the garden. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. ...

You have to check in at a sister hotel (much posher so you feel like a bit of a scruff) and pay €1 for a map from a rather surley receptionist. Luckily he told us exactly where to go and without his advi...
