A Fabulous way to travel Alaska. No traffic stress, no cramped seating, no rude employees, etc... Definently better than most buses, airplanes, and even Amtrak.

I recommend upgrading to the Gold Star Service. For just a little more money you get First Class amenities. The world famous seating in the upper car (wrap around windows). Great restuarant. And a bartender and naturalist available in your car. The bartenders can help you with water, soda, *hot chocolate*, tea, and adult beverages. The naturalist are local high school and college students that talk about the wildlife, landscape, history, and cultural interests of the area.

The next day we took our car and went exploring, not knowing where we would end up. We followed a beautiful road at the base of the mountains that winded along between lakes and glaciers and the Alaskan Railroad. We spotted a mountain go…Alaskan Railroad.
