Alaskan Airways/Horizon Air

I had several problems with this airline. Im not sure whether they are the same airline or whether one operates flight for the other, but their name always appear with each other.

I flew from Reno to Seattle, the Seattle to Calgary and was not impressed with anything they offered, or didnt offer.

I planned a side trip to Canada from the USA for a week just to hit the snow before i had to head back to San Diego.

The first flight ran a little late, and had me wondering whether i would make my connecting flight to Calgary. The staff were not overly helpful, and certainly not at the airports.

When i arrived in Seatle my connecting flight was also delayed so i had plenty of time to get to the right terminal, have lunch etc.

When i got to Canada my bags had not made it. The staff at the baggage claim area directed me to the lost baggage and assured me it probably had just missed the connection and would be on the next flight... that afternoon.

Anyway, needless to say it didnt show up. My brand new snowboard and gear was not to be found. I waited at my hostel in my snow soaked clothes for 3 days before it finally showed up. I had a phone but i had no contact with Airline about my bags at all. Although id rang several times. I was in canada for 5 days and had a 4 day ski pass, of which i could only use 1 day, but no one was prepared to offer anything for the delay.

Ruined a "would be" great trip. Would never fly them again. Would NOT recommend anyone else either.
