(Note: This is a story Lia wrote on paper and Mom typed it for her):
I got to go to the sled dog presentation today. They said that I could pet them. My favorite dog's name is Muddy. She's beautiful! All the dogs were pretty. I liked the other dogs too, but Muddy was my favorite. Then a man got on a sled and got pulled by some dogs. Suddenly the sled flipped, but he got off just in time!
After the dog presentation, we went to the Visito...

A nice thing about Juneau is that people here dont give me a bad time about the rain in Seattle, they get 3x as much rain as we do! Beautiful place though.

Amazing salmon fishing trip, with whales and eagles along the way. Quaint town with nice shops, friendly people, pretty Russian church. Salmon spawning in a stream near the boat filled marina.

During a visit to my "marmie" in AZ, my brother admitted he really didn't want to go to Rome for my graduation present. Being in the Barnes and Noble travel section at the time, looking for Italy books, I look down at Alaska! I tell him I really don't care where I go because everywhere sounds good, so I toss the Alaska idea at him.Who doesn't want to see ice and bears?!?!Well, he does! So, Alaska is my new destination. I'm excited. I really wanna see my mountain, Mt. McKinley, but that's a bi...

Recently I had another business trip...this time to Anchorage, AK. I have to admit being a warm climate girl, I was a little anxious about going to Alaska especially the cold weather. But it was really nice and beautiful. The best part was I still had time to "site see" after my meetings because it doesn't get dark this time of the year! Also, all the shops and restaurants are open late and you can walk around comfortably there. I wish I'd had time to do somethin...

June 4th-8th, Captain Rob (yours truly), hosted another NW Backroads Show filming expedition aboard the Saltery C in SE Alaska, outside of Ketchikan. This trip was vastly different than the first show last Sept with the guys. The trip last week was the "GIRLS" showing off their fishing prowess and expeditionary adaptability! While we didn't get into the freshwater fishing (Salmon aren't in the rivers yet) like the previous show.....we DID however get to the outside waters where the action was...

Skagway is on old Gold Rush Town that today lives for the hoardes that arrive each day on cruise ships. The town is preserved as it was when built. It is also the start of the White Pass and Yukon RR. Just a tourist train but passing through beautiful country.
