Trying to actually get to Fairbanks Alaska is probably half the fun, trying to get back is interesting to say the least. My first attempt to venture boldly north was thwarted by an apparent volcanic eruption somewhere in the vicinity of ANC (I could not spell Anchorage Airport) Jet engines have …

We hebben vannacht heerlijk geslapen. De wekker was dus veeeeeeeel te vroeg. We nuttigden een heerlijk ontbijt waarna we rond half negen op pad gingen.

My travel buddies from college and I would always go on a tropical vacation each year, until I suggested quite the opposite-Alaska! This new frontier is breathtakingly beautiful and humbling. It's pure and untouched. The sense of serenity, the gratitude you feel looking at something so majestic, and stuffing myself of good food is worth the coldness of Alaska.

I knew I'd be heading north for visits when my other half moved to Alaska for work. During my first visit over the Christmas holidays, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that not all of the the 49th state is a frozen tundra. Anyone who's been there will agree that there's just something about this place that gets under your skin and makes you want to return time and time again.

Hey there! Well this past May (2007) we decided to take a trip to Alaska through Norwegian Cruise line(*not my favorite cruiseline). We flew out of Seattle, Washington-amazing airport! The trip was amazing and great for beginners like me! We were so determined to do some amazing things while we were there! There is more that I would have loved to do but definately next time! We ended up biking in Skagway, rode the White Pass & Yukon Route. Our top spot would have to be Ketchikan,Alaska amazing!
