MY EXPERIANCES AND ADVENTURES BREAKING ICE.

My travel buddies from college and I would always go on a tropical vacation each year, until I suggested quite the opposite-Alaska! This new frontier is breathtakingly beautiful and humbling. It's pure and untouched. The sense of serenity, the gratitude you feel looking at something so majestic, and stuffing myself of good food is worth the coldness of Alaska.

Some pics of my 4-week adventure into Alaska & the Yukon ... breathtaking scenery, challenging hikes, fun times by the campfire, crazy times hitting the towns, making great friends for life and endless memories!

So here I am again in Alaska. I am a student of UAF and applying for exchanging to Hawaii next year. Living in both China and Alaska, Umm...why am I so extreme?

This is a brief summary of some of my travels through the years...In the past I have wanted to have one of my traveling companions in each photo...It seems to me that it makes the photos more meaningfull and more interesting....In the future I will make a better effort to document my travels...Travel Buddy has given me inspiration for better documentation...

I knew I'd be heading north for visits when my other half moved to Alaska for work. During my first visit over the Christmas holidays, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that not all of the the 49th state is a frozen tundra. Anyone who's been there will agree that there's just something about this place that gets under your skin and makes you want to return time and time again.

Hey there! Well this past May (2007) we decided to take a trip to Alaska through Norwegian Cruise line(*not my favorite cruiseline).We flew out of Seattle, Washington-amazing airport!The trip was amazing and great for beginners like me! We were so determined to do some amazing things while we were there! There is more that I would have loved to do but definately next time! We ended up biking in Skagway, rode the White Pass & Yukon Route.Our top spot would have to be Ketchikan,Alaska amazing!

Alaska is beautiful. It was nice to travel from Fairbanks all the way down to Vancouver. I would like to go back and do some camping some day.
