Kopi Luwak Mar 26, 2011
Kopi Luwak Coffee comes from the Indonesia island, an area well known for it’s excellent coffee. Also native to the area is a small civit like animal called a Paradoxurus. The locals call them luwaks. These little mammals live in the trees and one of their favorite foods is the red, ripe coffee cherry. They eat the cherries, bean and all. While the bean is in the little guy’s stomach, it undergoes chemical treatment and fermentation's. The beans finishes its journey through the digestive system, and exits. The still intact beans are collected from the jungle floor, cleaned, roasted and ground just like any other coffee. The resulting coffee is said to be like no other. It has a syrupy body and a heavy exotic earthy flavor with hints of caramel and chocolate.
Kopi Luwak is the worlds most expensive and low production coffee’s selling for US $100 to $600 per pound and God help Luwaks that hunters are now targeting to sell to coffee producers who’d like to get richer than God’s will. Obviously every broke soul sympathises with hustlers ambition however unlike humans who experiment every conceivable method to cope with overproduction stresses, luwaks whom I think resemble opossums, play possom. That mean’s they go to sleep instead of eat sleep and shit like you. But they don’t need paper, so they don’t wake back up.
We support the farmer who cleans up behind the luwaks who roam their jungles. This naturally preserved bean is jungle money and it stays here until you want some. You can shop online and even get some out of specialty coffee shops of course but it like anything else produced under stress will give you what you what’s been put into it. Like loved ones who’re stressed out, aggressive, two faced, aromatic on the surface, and penetrating nothing within cannot appreciate you like it’s supposed to.
When you really deserve the finer things in life, you’ll come and get something that’ll take it’s time with you, love you like you love is supposed be loved and be that gift that keeps on giving. If looking like the finer things in life is good enough for you then keep on keeping on and what can’t wait is coming to find you.
