Arrived in Costa Rica pretty late at night... 10pm or so.  The airport itself was nice, but walking outside be prepared to be surrounded by people asking to help with bags and get you taxi rides.  Have a good idea of what you want when you get off the plane so you don't end up getting ripped off.  Buses to San Jose go by pretty frequently.

Costa Rica is a beautiful country full of nature and adventure. The country has impressive forests, volcanoes, beaches and a lot of animals. Travelling and living there was an unforgettable experience. I love the food, the people and the country. Costa Rica es Pura Vida!!
