Alajula Campgroud was great. I stayed there when I first arrived in Costa Rica and ended up staying longer than expected. Its ran by a nice German guy Stefan, who lives there with his 5 dogs. He even picked me up from the airport for $10. It is more of a house, very chill atmosphere right outside Alajula on the way to Tuatal. The house has neat paintings all over the walls and Stefan is great about showing you around and even drove us places. I stayed in the dorm which beds were not that comfortable but I wasn't really worried about it. Alajula itself really wasn't that exciting but it was a nice place to stay and Stefan is great.
