HI. I'm author - adventurer JASON MAY aka the SHIPWRECkED SURFER. I finally have settled on my latest writing loft in the strangest of all locations. GRASSY, ALABAMA is just a pixel of a spot on a MAP. But, There is ADVENTURE ALL AROUND.

This was a short day trip to DeSoto Caverns in Childersburg, Alabama in April. Per my parents’ recommendation, I went to DeSoto Cavern to see what all the hoopla was about.
I was told that the main room is twelve stories high, and larger than a football field. The caverns are noted for one of the largest accumulations of onyx-marble stalagmites and stalactites in the United States.

I decided to take a cross country road trip to gatlinburg tenn. on the way I stopped at friends places and expanded my road trip after the original cabin trip in gatlinburg, I head east to North Carolina to the outer banks, up north to MD to N.Y. withsights in between. after I left New York, I went thru PA to Ohio and spent a week there and had Tday with some friends.
