Al Fresco Cascais Reviews
Not bad Sep 07, 2010
This Italian restaurant is located at the compound of Vila Bicuda, but according to their flyer, they also have restaurants under the same name in the centre of Cascais, Estoril and Sintra (http://www.guiadacidade.pt/portugal/pt/dir/5589/restaurante-al-fresco).
As for the restaurant at Vila Bicuda: the decoration is a bit quirky, but the menu is very appealing with plenty of vegetarian options. If you’re staying at Vila Bicuda you can even call them from your apartment or house to order a pizza from the same menu.
Prices are a bit higher than at other places at the centre of Cascais, but they are not unreasonable. The red house wine is lovely, the chocolate mousse as a desert is not perfect (a bit too ‘liquid’).
Take note that even if you do not use the breadbasket that is put on your table, it will turn up at your bill. You must ask them to take it away if you don’t want to use it.
