Al Ain (or Al-Ayn) - meaning the eye or the spring. The name was originated from the natural oasis located in this town. This 4th largest city in UAE is also known as Garden City, because the effort to plant and keep the city green with trees and grass.
It can be reached from Abu Dhabi (1.5 hrs) driving or from Dubai (1 hrs driving) to the border of Buraimi in Oman. There are several attractions, as the museum, palace, zoo, oasis (with the old falaj - or irigation system), public swimming pool and green park, last but not least is the high peak of Jebel Hafeet mountain, with the stunning view and nice road.

I took a day tour to Al Ain or Al Ayn. This is a small town located in the border of UAE and Oman and still included under Abu Dhabi emirates. This town is wellknown as a green town with it's oasis. This is the home town of UAE's sheik. In this town, there is 1 mountainous area called Jebel Hafeet - as the 2nd highest peak of all UAE, the height reaches 1,200-m above sea level
