Picking up Show #1 - Relay for Life Works

It's the summer of 2008 and time to light up the sky once again!  Last year, I somehow adopted the nickname "Sparkler" and it stuck.  Sparkler (who is a member of "Billy Boom's Crew") is now off to pick up this weekends' fireworks. This weekend is our community Relay For Life (a fundraiser for cancer research).  My family (Mom and Dad) donated the fireworks that are shot in celebration of local cancer survivors.  I'm happy to report that I will be pushing buttons this Fri…

Because Dad and Dan needed to be on-site at 6:30 a.m. and South Euclid is a little over 2 hours from the hosue, we spent the evening in Akron's Best Western.  This got us at least a little closer to the site. One thing I've learned about me and hotels.  Many of them are just too humid for me.  Even when they're cool and the a/c is on, they tend to be musty.  The BEST hotel I've been in recently was that brand-new (less than 2 months) Marv Herzog in Frankenmuth (see Summer…

I'd say 99% of the time if I want to see something different I take a trip, however after moving back to Ohio a friend of mine decided she wanted to come visit. It's always tough trying to figure out what to do to entertain guests.
