There is an (Indian) toilet just inside the entrance , cant remember what the entrance cost was , but it was nt much .We had to wait for the temple to open , about 9 or 10 am i think .
The town is not a touristy place and we didnt see any touts/beggars which made a change . The Temple is a Jain temple and moderately interesting , a bit like a huge leggo set sprayed with gold paint , and showing images of what seems to be a golden age with dieties and even flying machines. It is all viewed from behind windows , the public have no access to the display .We didnt see any wardens ot officials once we were inside . The Jains' are an interesting group , who dress in white and who aim to live a life of purity . We did not see any of them at/in the temple either. The images are pretty extensive but the condition appears to be a bit dusty and the viewing areas have graffitti and muck around . It is two stories high . The rest of the town was dusty and somewhat shambolic , we could nt even find decent cafe , but theer was an little park and a large lake with some plastic pleasure boats on it . |
