November into December of 2007, I took a 3 week trip to Europe for work, but I had lots of time to see the sights for the holiday season and the weather was incredible. I visited Spain, several cities in France, Belgium, London, North Wales, and Portugal. I went with my orchestra to France for a week. We played several concerts in Provence and the Alps. We also got to see the beautiful countryside and Roman ruins which are integrated into the modern towns.

Only picked up the car at 5pm. We still had to go to Marseille to pick up the rest of our luggage. Only left Marseille late so camped along the way at Aix-en-Provence.

Photos from my travels around southern France, sans personne. I spent most of my French journey in Lyon. The goal was to perfect my francais and to get to know a european city like the back of my hand. I spent a little over a month here. During the summer, residences in dorms can be quite affordable (something like 500 euros for a month). Feel free to ask any questions about these places I visited.
