Took a drive down to Aix from Marseille one lazy Monday along with Nico. It was a short 30 mins from Marseille, and being on the autoroute was lovely and comfortable.. as we enjoyed the scenery of mountains and mills. Can't believe what nature has done to a city chic like me.. I'm still amazed by the same mountains after living in the South of France for more than a month.Upon arrival at Aix, we were greeted by fountains surrounding the shopping complex, and the famous La Rotonde fountain. No...

Nice, France -› Monaco -› ...
We picked up a hire car in Nice and whizzed down the motorway to Avignon via Aix. We stopped off for lunch in Aix and had a walk around the town centre. It was fairly easy to find a nice underground car park almost right in the centre, and we were soon strolling through the pretty streets between stone buildings. We found a lovely shady square with a number of restaurants and settled in for a relaxing lunch. The food was pretty tasty. After lunch we had a little stroll around the town. We f...

As I mentioned in my previous blogs, I was invited to a hotel wedding on my last night in Aix-en-Provence. I was sitting at the bar having a nice conversation with these 2 girls from Sweden when all of a sudden in walks Phillip...."Hey, you're an American aren't you" in a very drunken manner and French/English voice. He could barely stand..."Yes I am"I explained to him that I was and I was leaving tomorrow to head home for America. He insisted I must spend my last night in France drinking goo...

November into December of 2007, I took a 3 week trip to Europe for work, but I had lots of time to see the sights for the holiday season and the weather was incredible. I visited Spain, several cities in France, Belgium, London, North Wales, and Portugal. What a wonderful time of the year to visit, as it was wonderful to see how the Christmas holiday was celebrated in Europe. What a great trip!!

After a rushed last day in UK we found ourself heading over Tower Bridge with the rain! How appropriate way to be sent off!!! First night made it as far as brugge. Then long push down to Troyes, followed up with a days ride to Dijon. Stayed in a little villiage called Crest that put on a Jazz festival for us. Hospitality plus! Now, in the south about to head to Nice. Hope to make it for some more wine and cheese, will try to add more to blog later. Bike doing very well carring load. M...

Upon arriving to this city, I realised two things: It is a beautiful city filled with fountains... and with dog crap! Once I was there we visited the Catedral which is probably the landmark in there. Some of my friends wanted to go shopping, which I thought wasn't the best idea, but I went with them anyway.
