Sorry The flight's delayed, the Pilot's finishing his lunch. Rather endearingly, this was the explanation for our flight for Aitutaki leaving an hour later than scheduled. It was absolutely fine by Andrew & me because it just meant we could sunbathe  on the grassy 'departure lounge' for an extra hour. This trip was totally out of the blue, whilst on my Working Holiday Visa in New Zealand, I needed to get away from windy Wellington so I chose this strange combination. I was spoilt with beautiful deserted Motu in the South Pacific and amazed at the Japanese culture, its a Country like no other I've ever witnessed, a place I fell in love with and hope to return very soon.

Voor velen geen verrassing meer: op zaterdag 19 juli zijn wij in het huwelijksbootje gestapt. Wij zijn getrouwd op het witte zandstrand van het prachtige onbewoonde One Foot eiland, onderdeel van de Aitutaki archipel. Aitutaki is een atol met 15 eilandjes en zandbanken, in het midden van de stille zuidzee. We hadden prachtig weer. In totaal hebben we 8 dagen doorgebracht op Aitutaki. We hebben voornamelijk gerelaxed en van het lekkere weer genoten. Inmiddels zitten wij weer op Rarotonga...

The trip is still being planned, but I'll blog as soon as we get going. In the meantime, planning/dreaming is also a great part of the trip :-D
