Airlie Thai Restaurant Airlie Beach Reviews
average, overpriced thai in airlie beach Jul 02, 2009
This is a standard Thai restaurant serving the usual suspects for this type of cuisine, in a pleasant balcony setting, opposite the beach.
We ordered 5 mains to share between the 6 of us (including 2 kids), with two rice dishes on the side and found the food tasty enough but portions on the small side for the cost (almost double the cost of typical restaurants elsewhere). This is a touristy town and a certain markup is to be expected but $18 for a small plate of fried rice (even with the three king prawns on top..), seemed a little over-the-top!
Service was pleasant but despite the restaurant being on the quiet side this evening, our tea was not brought out to us until the meal was finished. To be fair, we were then not charged for it.
Overall, an adequate meal but expensive for what it was. I probably would not return but try the many other options available on the main street.
