Turkish Spa in Barcelona Sep 17, 2011
An experience to experience. I had never been to a Turkish spa so this is a whole new concept to me. Wow. Just Wow. Lets see if I can do it justice. The cost is rather pricy and a la cart. The Turkish baths consist of several baths, some cold, some hot, some salted, some not. You rotate between each of the baths. Between rotations, whatever a la cart services you paid for you receive (message/foot rub/etc...). While there, you have several attendants lined up to serve you! You are served mint tea in between the baths, also there is a steam room like no other steam room. Just a beautiful way to end the day. Everything is by appointment, so don't even think of just dropping in for services. You will pay at least 100 USD for this treatment but you live once. This is near the Picasso Museum, and the Chocolate Museum (about seven blocks up from the Picasso Museum and two blocks up from the Chocolate Museum).

This is very much off the beaten path. I only discovered it after talking to another tourist--maybe Rick Steves wasn't aware.
