Agua Dulce is a small town with a population of about 700 located in the South Texas Plains part of Southern Texas. Agua Dulce was the site of a battle during the Texas Revolution that occurred on the same day the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed at Washington on the Brazos. The unit attacked here was one of two volunteer units formed in Agua Dulce.

Agua Dulce has a nice little park with a gazebo and several covered picnic areas along the main road through town, Texas Highway 44. Talked to a couple of locals here; they seemed like nice people.
