Great food in the town square Feb 08, 2009
This little café in the town square would in most places be a tourist trap, because it is in the perfect location, looking out across the incredibly ornate Town Hall. Instead, it serves magnificent food and drinks in a warm and classy atmosphere. I had a simple pasta and trappist beer, but the quality was such that I savoured every mouthfull. The menu is in Flemish only, but with just drinks, salads, pasta and steak it is pretty simple to figure out (and of course the staff all speak perfect English). Meals are around €10.
