Good Terrace Restaurant Dec 18, 2008
I stayed at the Hilton Athens and this place was literally right around the corner on a quiet side street. Eat inside in an eclectic setting or outside (year round) street-side. With a very diverse menu, you will most likely just have to narrow your choices down to 3 or 4 and pick randomly among them. Service was a bit slow, but as I learned the more time I spent in Greece, you have to be ready when the waiter comes to the table because you won't see him or her again until they feel like coming back around.

Our first stop is the ancient agora. If you hear agora, you imagine a big square and nothing else, but apparently there is a lot more to it than only a market square. Unfortunately it was destroyed by barbarians, so a new one was reconstructed… Athens, a quick highlight guide |

*shame* Ticket is good for Ancient Agora, Theater of Dionysos, Roman Agora, Kerameikos, Temple of Zeus and the Hadrian Library. AH! Well, back when I read this, not any of these things sounded familiar to me, or at least I didn't know what they looked like exactly. Finally at the almost… Day 4: Pireas/Athens, hold onto your bags. |

At the base of the
Acropolis we walked through the ancient Agora, which was once the centre of
civic life, where Socrates taught and Greek democracy flourished. The Agora was
built in the 6 th century BCE, but has been rebuilt many times, after
being destroyed by the Persians in 480 BCE and the Goths in 267 CE, with… Ugly Athens |

The last sights to see were the Ancient Agora, and this was a big sight, similar to the Acropolis in size. The first ruin we came across after walking up a hill to get to it was the Temple of Hephaetus, which overlooked the site which is Agora. Loads of ruins lay about… Athens, Greece |
