MEDITERRANEAN VACATION – NOV. 2006
TRAVEL LOG
We left the US on 11/9, flying to Rome, Italy via Chicago and Brussels. The flight from Chicago to Brussels was very turbulent, so turbulent that I was extremely air-sick and spent a great deal of the time in the lavatory trying to hang on and...

By far the most beautiful place I have ever been. Nature is untouched in Kruger National Park. It was amazing! I never knew how beautiful the sky could look at night without ANY city lights around. If you ever get the chance........take it.

My wife and I went on a guided safari in Kenya and Tanzania in 2002 and it was fantastic! 2 weeks roughing it on a truck and in tents with 18 other tourists, seeing the sights, experiencing the food and culture...it was just unreal. Highly recommend it to anyone with a sense of adventure.

Well, this is my first review for TravBuddy and I just wanted to put in a plug for Ghana. I studied abroad there fall 2003 and it was a "life changing experience" as the five stars show. I will go into more detail later, but everyone should definitely go. (It's in West Africa if pe...

The Lion and Cheetah Park is a must see stop if visiting Harare. It’s only a 15 min drive from the city centre and gives you the opportunity to see some great wildlife up close and not all behind fences and cages. Though when I visited, there were no cheetah apparently they had died and they decid...

We took a canoe ride through the breathtaking mangrove channels of Mida Creek. There are three islands within the creek and especially around Sudie Island you can get almost lost in a maze of about 5 metres wide lanes of water leading through the trees. It is so quite out there, it's almost eerie. W...

If there is one event to get to when in Cape Town and looking for an absolutely awesome time, then it has to be the J&B Met. Think - thousands of beautiful people, skimpily cald women, entertaining amounts of alcohol and perfect weather. I believe there is a horse race too.... We typically try and a...

Well first off 1 warning, when they say don't drink the water, they MEAN IT! I spent 3 days in Luxor, very sick with what they thought was Typhoid, but turns out it was just dysentary, either way bloody horrible illness. Diving here is amazing !
Join a diving organization on a boat to Ras Mohammed (the national park) or Tiran, it's absolutely amazing. Colored coral everywhere, loads of fish (including sharks, dolphins and turtles), even some great wrecks (Thistlegorm, Dunraven).
