You know the silly season has begun when you spend your days eating too much, drinking too much and it's not even 2pm yet!
Thus began the official trail of client lunches and office parties, we started last Thursday at a fabulous Brazilian restuarant in Fourways... and man oh man... :)
The venue...

Our first meal out on this trip to Maputo was to Las Brasas, here I had Picanha, which was a very large (2 foot / 60cm long ) skewer with large lumbs of meat, Halfs of Onions, and Tomatoes dripping there juices into a bowl of rice. This was accompanied with Grilled Pineapple and fried bananas. When ...

The pub is situated only five minutes away from UN compound.
It’s an open air pub although it has nothing to do with the typical traditional pub, the atmosphere is quite nice and the specialty of the place is pork dish even though I never tried it myself as I don’t eat pork, but my friends seem...

The Nefertiti Hotel needs no reviews- it's great value for the price. Only 2 minute walk from Luxor Temple.
The eatery next to the hotel though needs some much deserved praise. It's simple food for wicked cheap prices. See here: falafel sandwich for only one Egyptian pound (less than $0.20).

Lebanese offers mid-east style food, shisha, and live traditional music. The atmosphere is relaxing, a great place to go with a large group or 2-3 friends. They have two choices for shisha, apple or grape flavour, you can also ask to have a mix of the two together, the service is very good. Loc...

The Village Road area of Hurghada consists mainly of resort hotels, which are often half/full board and therefore have their own restaurants. This means that there aren't as many outside eateries as you'd think, for somewhere so big (most places are just bars). The Village Road area has some cheap...

Last night was my cousin's birthday and we all met at News Cafe for a quick drink that turned into a long couple of drinks.
News Cafe is essentially a resturant and bar turned nightspot after dark, although I think this happened quite accidentally. They have an extensive food menu and they food i...

Since to my knowledge, Tambacounda doesn't have street names like in the U.S., it's difficult to direct one to this location. The best I can do is say it's near a major intersection. Down the road from that intersection is a large mechanic yard on either side of the road. There may be several suc...

I can't really say what the street addreess is for this particular establishment, as I saw no street signs. However if you find yourself in the traffic circle of downtown Franceville, take the dirt side-street that goes uphill, and it's on your left. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept. T...

As pay-off on a ridiculous bet, we had dinner here. Not really my style. The bistella was okay, but I have had better. Actually the menu is extensive and the prices fair, if more than I would normally like to pay. It is really a tourist place, though.
