We researched many many many alternatives for getting from Athens to the islands and stumbled upon a great deal on Aegean Airlines. Unlike Olympic Airlines, which doesn't have the best reputation with customers, Aegean Airlines is efficient and convenient. We found a late evening flight for only 10 euros plus tax (40 euros total). While we may have found an exceptional deal, they offer one-way fares (available online), most of which are under 50 euros + tax and take about 1 hour, making it a great option for an island hopping adventure!
