Ackland Street St Kilda Jun 19, 2011
St Kilda has many things happening and many great places to visit, as well as Ackland Street there is Fitzroy St which has it's own identity and is another well known eat and entertainment precinct, not forgetting the Esplanade and the beach. Today I'm doing a review on Ackland Street as I could not do justice to all St Kilda has to offer in one review.

Ackland Street is well known for its European Cake shops and it's ecliptic mix of people and shops. You often see celebrities sipping on their coffees along with trendies, alternatives, artists, struggling actor/artists and all things in between....not to mention the man who sits having coffee with his Lima unfortunately I haven't any photos of that. I have spoken to him in the past and he told me he and the Lima (who has a money/bum bag around his neck) travel around Australia in a caravan and people unsolicited put money in the Lima bum bag and they do quite nicely thank-you out of it. Getting the picture now....Saturdays and Sundays are the best for people watching but it's always busy and a bit hard especially in Summer to get a table outside from which you can do the people watching. Up and down the street there is a variety of interesting little shops. Plus a bit of street art but you need to look up......a pleasant way to while away a few hours drinking usually good coffee in the sun
