I just saw a 45-minute fireworks display by my apartment window, yes it was 45-minutes, I timed it.  But that is not the highlight of my day.  It was drinking hot chocolate while watching the sunset, 37,000 feet above sea level.  Today, I realized that I prefer sunsets over fireworks…

Abu Dhabi is more of a conservative city then Dubai.  I didn't find much to see there expect theEmirates Palace hotel and the Marina Mall was nice...Like Dubai, they have many "souk" areas for gold and jewelry.
