Abha, located in the south west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the capital of the Asir region. It has some 500,000 inhabitants. The city center is situated at 2200 m sea level, which makes the climate wonderful, even in summer. The Abha Intercontinental Hotel is even situated at about 3000 m sea level, which marks at the same time the point of highest elevation in Saudi Arabia.
