Aberystwth Mid Wales Feb 07, 2018
The market town , holiday resort, and University town of Aberystwth is in the middle of the huge sweep of the Cardigan Bay Wales, UK. There is a Pier, Sea front Promenade.,small harbour, two beaches, Castle Ruin, and Funicular railway up the cliff of Constitution Hill. Plus shopping and pubs and cafes and other eating places. The rail station has a two hourly service to Shrewsbury and Birmingham. The bus station is next to the rail station and has services to Cardigan,Aberearon,Machynlleth,Babgor,Cardiff, Wrexham,Caernarfon, etc..Distances to Shrewsbury 75 miles,Swansea 70 miles, and Wrexham 80 miles.---The Cambrian Coast Railway line hugs the coast(change at Machynlleth }to Pwllheli by Portmadog, Harlech, and Barmouth. The narrow gauge steam railway "Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway" leaves from near the main rail station to Devils Bridge in the spring and summer. The line was built in 1901.---Aberyswth is a lovely place for a holiday or just to use has a base for exploring Mid Wales by Bus, Train , Car or on foot.
