Among the Best in Filipino food at Bonifacio Global City Nov 14, 2012
Abe is a restaurant chain that specializes in Filipino cuisine. The branch at Serendra in Bonifacio Global City is one that has ambiance, and is centrally located in the restaurant row.

The presentation further enhances the flavor of their sumptuous dishes, which is a treat to both Filipino and foreign diners. It is a good introduction to Filipino cuisine, and there are so many dishes to choose from that are a culinary delight.

When you check out their menu, go for the specialties like Abe's Chicken Supreme, or the traditional fare like Crispy Pork Adobo ni Lola Ising, Lechon Cubano, and so on. This is one restaurant where you can keep on coming back and try out a different entre each time.
Abe is centrally located in Serend…

Great filipino food and good ambiance! Jul 03, 2011
I asked a random guy on the street where to find the best cooked filipino food in the area, and he promtly amswered Abé! I took his word for it, and he was definetely not mistaken.

Abé is a great restaurant located in the buzzling Fort area. At night the area is really cosey and buzzing with life!

No reservatio is needed here, but around 20'ish, the place gets quite crowded, so arrive a bit earlier to secure a table.

Try the pork in tamarind sauce, and the Lechon which is to die for!

We paid 1200 Php for dinner for two with drinks. Taken the quality of the food into consideration, I think this is great value for money!

It wasn't pork...we changed it to shrimp instead and it's called sinigang :)

And this Abe's is "more specifically" located in Serandra :) Just in case others would like to find it. This is a chain restaurant and some malls have a branch of this :)

Best Filipino restaurant Aug 08, 2011
Filipino food traditionally is classified as exotic cuisine to foreigners, especially from the Western hemisphere. A lot of it has to do with presentation. At Abe, you get the best of both worlds because the authenticity is solid and the presentation of each dish gets an A+ for flair and aesthetics in my book. This together with its cozy atmosphere makes it an ideal venue not just for quality of food but even as a place to gather with friends.

Best Restaurant in Manila Mar 14, 2011
I lived in Manila for approx. 2 months and this is the best restaurant for authentic Filipino food at its best. My rich local friends introduced this restaurant to me and the food does not compare - even with its sister restaurants around the city.

They do not hold back on preparation or cholesterol.

Cost is approx. 10 - 15 USD per person.

They have a large menu. This time we opted for the more exotic.
Local veggie in spicy cream sauce.
Stuff frog fried in garlic oil.
Crickets seasoned in spices fried.
