Best Meal I Had In Ireland, Just Outside Shannon Sep 13, 2008
Whoever said Irish food is bad hasn't been to Ardsolous. I had the best meal of my entire stay in Ireland - and probably the best meal that I had in a while - at this small and unassuming restaurant.
We walked in late on a Sunday night for our last dinner before our flight the next morning. Right away, we noticed that the place was packed with locals. Great sign! Everything on the menu looked good, but I decided on the sauteed duck breast with cherry sauce. And I couldn't have been happier. If I ever return to Ireland, I will be sure to visit the village of Quin and the Abbey Tavern again. |
