Premiere tapas place in Beverly Hills Adjacent Sep 16, 2008
I've been hearing about A.O.C. from my friend Helen for years now. But she has the kind of tastes that puts Lawry's on par with McDonalds so I've been dragging my feet going to this place.
AOC's is an amazing restaurant. They put the creativity back in dishes, have a 12+ page wine list and the service is excellent! I highly recommend a go at this if you have about $120 to spend on dinner for 2. That should be enough for you to share 3 tapas, 1 dessert and have a glass of wine each. My recommendations here are seafood-centric. They really know what they're doing with fish, crab, and clams. But they also have interesting things like sweet-tea fried chicken and egg-and-prosciutto brioche. Not a thing tasted bad and most things were to die for. Their desserts are really nice but on the super-sweet side. I will be back for sure. But this time I'll make reservations! On Friday they were booked from 7pm through 10pm with only bar seating available. Currently one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in LA. |
