Right in front of Nijo-jo, Good service. Jul 04, 2007
This hotel is located directly across the street from Nijo Castle. Also, there are a bus stop and a subway station nearby, so it is quite easy to go to various attractions from this hotel. There is a complementary shuttle service from JR Kyoto Station, which is very convenient.

During our stay, there was a rainy day, and when we came back to the hotel from sightseeing, my son's hair was wet (he didn't always stay under the umbrella). As soon as we walked into the lobby, one of the staff (a lady in kimono) approached us with a towel, saying it was for my son. I thought it was very thoughtful. We stayed there for two nights. Our room was rather old and had a worn carpet; however, it was clean and well-appointed. Our stay was very comfortable. We liked the hotel and would love to go back as long as we can afford it (for us, it wasn't cheap...). :) Part of the Summer in Japan: JUL '07 travel blog
