AJ de Bouillon Reviews
wonderful HI hostel May 01, 2004
This is one of my favourite hostels in Europe. The staff is very friendly, helpful and multilingual. For example, they let us use a washing machine even though that's officially not for guests.
It's quite a hike to get up to the hostel, but you will be rewarded by a great view of the castle of Bouillon. There is a steep footpath down into the village (only recommended for going doing, not up).
The bedrooms are nothing special, what you expect from a hostel, including bunk beds. We came with a group of 5 and were given a dorm of our own. Bathrooms are shared, and you are supposed to help clean up after breakfast.
There is a large kitchen, but you will have to ask at the reception for pots and pans etc.
There is a bar, both outside and inside, where you can sit in the evenings. There is no curfew or lockout, when you check in you get a code to enter the hostel at all times.
