The Blue Mosque:
The Blue Mosque was a lovely attraction. From the inside and out, it was a joy to visit. Watch out for the people at the gates trying to sell postcards and other items.
Shoes must be removed upon entrance to the mosque, to preserve the silk carpets, as well as to honor the Muslim culture that is when praying, shoe soles must not be visible. Keep in mind, with this being a major tourist attraction, the mosque will fill up and for that reason, do not be surprised to find that the inside WILL smell like feet!

Hagia Sofia:
The Hagia Sofia was yet another amazing attraction we were able to explore in Istanbul. The inside was amazing. Unforutnately the photos taken inside did not come out very well, as it was fairly dark inside.

Bosporous Bridge:
Although we were on the European side of Istanbul throughout our visit, it was cool to see the bridge connecting the 2 continents. For as skinny as the bosphorous looks on a map, it was a surprise to see just how long this bridge really is!

Topkapi Palace:
The Topkapi Palace was an impressive landmark, with an impressive amount of time needed to walk through! Filled with many courtyards, the palace covered much ground and plenty of museum-esque attractions throughout.
Remember to see the giant diamond while exploring!

genetravelling says: I went to a couple Turkish Baths and rate this one as the best. http://www.cemberlitashamami.com.tr/ It's a beautiful old hamam. Well situated in the middle of town. The people are friendly, you can stay as long as you like. They have showers and also will scrub and wash you down. I had the f...
