A true Bangkok city hidden gem. This place is family run. Like the website says feeling like your own home. Located on the middle part of Soi Kasamsunt 1. The large glass pane with A-One Inn written on it lets you know you arrived at this lovely place.

Beauty of this place is that it is strategically and centrally located to major Bangkok transport route like the BTS monorail and bus stop. A stone throw walk to a major cross road that links via sky walk MBK, Siam Discovery Centre, Central World, Siam Paragon to get your shopping fix.

This place has seen many traveler both local and overseas. Not suprising as this place is highly rated among most regular traveler to Bangkok.

Clealiness and service rates first class and is fantastic for a budget inn.

Has internet services which is paid at an hourly rate. The inn exercise a coupon based system for your internet connectivity.

A mini library which house a selection of titles ranging from fiction, non-fiction, outdated lonely planet, national enquirer magazine & womens weekly.

The inn has it's own laundry service and will deliver laundry to your room if instructed. Prices is a bit steep compared to most places. Baht 50 per kg of laundry, so make sure you send them in dried first.

Locker services are upon request in case you need to safe keep some extra cash and your important documents. You have to supply your own pad lock.

A few taxi drivers are always seen loitering at the front of the inn. You can arrange to prebook the guys in case you are short of time to catch the public transport to the airport.

Most room air conditioned and comes with hot shower and TV. Room rates from Baht 650 for twin sharing basis and Baht 850 for family room. They only have one family room so you have to book in advance ( sleeps 4 ).This place also provide you towels. If you are after skyline view of Bangkok city, you can forget about this place as the building is only 4 storey tall. Most rooms have view of surrounding building which is nothing to shout about.

The inn owner is more than happy to arrange Bangkok city tour upon request. The tour usually encompass the Royal Palace, Temples and also a drive to the Floating market. Cost of these tours usually range from Baht 850 - Baht 1200.

Late check out can be negotiated. Well sometimes it depends on who is manning the front desk. I got rejected before and there were instances where i manage to chat up the front desk receptionist and get a pretty late check out time. Please exercise discretion.

Only downside. It doesn't have it's own kitchen to sell food, however they do sell some items like beer and bottled water. Some foodies suggestion, opposite the inn has a restaurant that serves cheap local thai food such as Pad Thai, Fried rice, Beef and Basil and the likes etc...
Further down the road, hidden by a garden is a place that serves excellent set breakfast.
At the lane entrance is a few stalls at night that serves bbq skewers squid, chicken wing and other edible stuff.

We stayed near Siam Square in the clean and friendly A-One Inn in the centre of Bangkok. For the first few days we wandered around the city and applied for our Myanmar visas.  We also tried out some of the local street stalls which sold items such as banana fritters, pad thai… Bangkok

We walked through the doors of Rikka Inn and I bumped into one of the boys from work. Ciaran had been working with me before he left Ireland and lets just say he rushed through his work and jumped on a plane, the first thought that ran through this poor lads brain… Bangkok Crazy
