A Night out at the Dirty Martini

The Dirty Martini is a pretty cool venue if you love to dance, love to mingle, and love to chill. And on the plus side it is right by Fisherman's Wharf, so there is plenty of people around, and sites to see, if you want to do the whole tourist thing too.

Entrance fee ranges, there are VIP lists that are difficult to get on, but you can always try. The guest list you can add yourself to (if you need help let me know, I can try hook you up with the e-mails) which before a certain time you can get in for half the price. But if you do end up stumbling in towards the later part of the night, I've been told people have to pay the price.

The bar is huge, and the bartenders are very nice. Drink prices range, but are very reasonable, and they don't skimp on the alcohol. That's where I got the whole bit that the bartenders are very nice. =) You can play little games while you wait for your drink to be mixed; they have computers set up to play quick games by the bar.

Depending on the night you go the music varies. When I am able to go, I try to be there on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Lately the event has been "Mixology" by Body Rock SF & AvantGarde SF. Those nights range from playing 80's music, club classics, R&B, Hip Hop beats to Bay Area top tracks. The DJ's know how to mix it up. It is a Great place to dance the night away after a long week at work.

If you're not the dancing kind and you care just to chill and relax with your drink you sure are welcome to do so. There are a few bar tables by the bar, VIP booths (bottle service of course), and they have two pool tables in the back past the bar if billiards is your thing.

All in all, I would recommend The Dirty Martini to go to, or not. It's up to you, this is just my opinion, and so far I've only been here twice. I've had a blast each time. Maybe I'll see you there, who knows? This is just one of the many places to socialize, hang out with friends, dance, and have a drink or two in San Francisco.
