A Maiko Geisha or Samurai Makeover Reviews

May 06, 2007
A friend of mine who visited recently had a great experience and this is an awesome souviner to take back home. You can have a geisha/maiko/samurai makeover. You get dress up in traditonal kimino and geisha makeup or samurai outfit.

They take professional photos of you outside in the garden or in an old style Japanese street, and there is also an inside room too and it is done up like a traditional Japanese style room.

You can also use your own camera to take your own photos.

Allow yourself a few hours for this as it can take quiet a while to get the whole costume and make up on.

My friend recommended eating first and make sure you dont need to use the toilet as once in full dress its very hard to do either of these.

Its a little expensive but an awesome experience and a great souviner.

It cost around 12,000 to 15,000 yen.

My friend had it done in Tokyo but there are many more places around Kyoto to do it.

I highly recommend it and im personally planning on doing it soon.
