A Journey to Peggy's Cove Reviews
Aug 10, 2006
When you tell someone that you are going to Nova Scotia, they all reccommend that you go to Peggy's Cove. Upon arrival in Halifax, we drove out to Peggy's Cove.
It was dark and drunk girls laughed and sang in the parking lot.
but, the what we could see of the view was spectacular.
I got some beautiful twilight shots of a worn shed.
We came back in the morning. The experience was dynamically different.
about 40 tour busses were parked in front of the scenic view. Musicians sat around trying to get money. Hokey historically dressed women looked out to sea for their lost husbands.
People were everywhere.
It wasn't until my brother and I climbed the rocks and got out of the view of people that we enjoyed it. Tour groups were being led everywhere so it was incredibly difficult to get photos without 50 people in them.
I enjoyed the tranquility of it much more by night than by day.
Upon leaving for Cape Breton, my entire family regretted wasting our time at Peggy's Cove as Cape Breton is dynamically beautiful in comparison.
