A Cruise on the Lake Lucerne Mar 08, 2008
The history of the Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV) started in 1835 with the first steamship "Stadt Luzern". During many years more and more ships were bought. The current fleet comprises about 20 ships, most of them are diesel motor boats but there are still some steamships.
The Lucerne Navigation Company offers a lot of different cruises. The price depends on the distance. There are also special cruises that include a meal. The foodbridge of the SGV is on the opposite side of the train station. Just cross the street, walk through the triumphal arch and cross the other street and you're standing right in front of the foodbridge.
You can combine the cruise with a hike, a ride with a mountain railway or what ever.
