95 Keerom is named after its address in the heart of Cape Town. In South African terms this is quite a pricey spot, but I have to say that the service, food and ambience make up for it.
The food is Italian in style, but non-traditional. Lots of interesting variations on the Italian theme. A speciality of the house is carpaccio which is definitely worth a bash - both fish and meat varieties are available.
Unfortunately fresh tuna was unavailable on the day, but there is enough on the menu to make up for it. The asparagus starter and rolled pork (with spinach and ricotta) were superb.
There is a nice wine selection too - we went for the La Motte Millenium, which is always a good bet.
The personal service from the chef and our waiter was superb (with our waiter even popping across to the shops to buy a chocolate for us when we did not feel up to a fancy dessert).
