How to do the 7 lakes route Feb 26, 2011
Unless you have a car, traveling through the path of the 7 lakes from San Martín de los Andes to Bariloche is pretty expensive and confusing at first.
The good thing is that the lakes are all close to the road so you wont have to walk much until you find them. If you are camping its a good thing to know WHEN the bus is going to pass so you wont miss it (you´ll have to wait for another hour if you do) The website to the main bus company is: http://www.albus.com.ar/lineas-y-horarios-provincial.php
BE CAREFUL: Sometimes it passes earlier than it says on the time schedule!!!
Another way to travel is with another company called La Araucana (http://www.araucana.com.ar/website/default.asp)
We had a better experience with them beacuse while we were waiting on the road for the Albus a guy from La Araucana stopped and picked us up and after that day we did all the route with him. He was funny, he gave us some tips and charged us half of what Albus charges.
Always wait for them on the road some minutes earlier that it says on the time schedule because they are always in a hurry!
