390th Memorial Museum Tucson Reviews
World War II 390th Bombardment Group Remembered Aug 08, 2012
The 390th Memorial Museum is located within the Pima Air and Space Museum compound. It honors the courage and sacrifice of members of the armed forces, particularly the members of the 390th bombardment group who served during World War II. The many memorabilia, stories, and personal accounts of the successes of the 390th bombardment group can be seen here. It is a moving tribute, one that will leave you teary if you have or had members in any branch of the armed forces. There are two giant plaques with the names of every soldier who died, that was part of the 390th group.
The aircraft that was flown is housed here as well, they let you go inside to see it, children particularly love it, but we also saw adults and retired members of the air force come in to see it. I did not go in, but my daughter jumped at the opportunity to inside it.
I wrote some information on it in my Pima Air and Space Museum review, do not miss stopping by this museum when you visit the air museum. You will be shooting to birds with one stone.
PS:Do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today!
