This is a restaurant Nacho Adorna recommended to me (he is a TravBuddy from Madrid too). It is located in the Beyoglu neighbourhood, right in the middle of the city´s most famous shopping and entertainment strip. It is very difficult to find, so bare with me.. ☺
Going up from the Galata bridge and just 30 meters before reaching Galatasaray Square, you will find it on the right hand side. The only thing you will see at the reception will be a black sign saying “360”. I tried to find it on Friday, but it was imposible. Nobody knew where it was, so I had to access Google earth and find the exact spot. It is on top of a building all surrounded by glass walls, so you have a beautiful view of the whole city. In the middle of the restaurant you find a nice fire and they play black and white movies in one of the walls. The food was quite good but I would say that their speciality are coacktails and desserts. Although the presentation of mosf of the dishes is great, the food did not reach my high expectations. If you enjoy desserts, I would recommend you to get the “Dead by chocolate” or something like that.. don´t remember exactly… The best plan is to go there around 7:30 to get a coacktail and then around 8:30 have a nice dinner next to the window. In this place you need to book in advance and make sure you ask them to get a table next to the window. They don´t guarantee you anything, but at least they will try. After dinner you can just stay around having a drink. Try on Friday or Saturday night as at 11pm they play music and serve drinks like any other club in the area. Ok ok! Do you want to know the price? Well it was 115YTL (65€ or so) for 2 persons. Part of the A weekend in Istanbul travel blog |

We had an early start because 5 cruise ships had docked along the piers overnight and that meant thousands of tourists would be descending and going to the same places we were going today! On our way to Istanbul, they announced that we will pass through the Dardanelles straits by 4:00-6:30 am, and three war memorials will be visible from the ship, so I decided to take the opportunity and wake up early again to try to shoot them.
