My husband and I are heavy traveler's. Every time we've visited NYC we always spend half of our budget on over priced typical tourist attractions until this past New Year's 2009! We wanted a place that was big enough to accommodate 6 friends and ourselves, and tried an alternative route by searching On Craigslist a local website to find "insider" deals on accommodation. We stumbled upon 33 Saint Nicholas Bushwick!. Owned by the most charming couple. This a private apartment located in Bushwick, Brooklyn right off of the L train the only reliable and clean train in the city. 15 minutes into Union Square, 20 minutes and I'm right in Times Square, 5 minutes I'm smack in the HIPPEST spot in Brooklyn aka Williamsburg for you Artists like myself. When we arrived, I was at first hesitant because I was staying in someone's home, however after a moment I realized we rented this entire space a 3 bedroom huge kitchen and bathroom for the price one of us would of paid for just one room in a hotel in Manhattan. 33 Saint Nicholas Bushwick is perfect for those of us interested in the Alternative travel experience, we either have families or we come in a group of friends who want a local home and neighborhood experience with REAL New Yorkers and live on a budget, it was only $240 per night for the entire space, we stayed for one week split 4 ways we had a great deal. My husband and I were trilled, it was as if we were home away from home yet on vacation with our friends and with all the amenities at our fingertips. Plus, we saw all the New Year's fireworks on the private roof! One note if you want to book call their personal numbers their names are Greg and Dee.
