3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club South Lake Tahoe Reviews
Amazing Jun 21, 2009
This hotel was awesome. It's the best South Lake Tahoe Hotel that I've ever stayed at. Walking distance to the lake and close to the slopes.

May 18, 2007
I stayed here for 9 days in May 2007 and was really pleased with my apartment.
There was a kingsized bed (in a separate bedroom, with its own balcony), a large lounge area, a kitchen/dining area, a bath/shower & toilet and a separate sink area with a large mirror (also great complimentary toiletries!). There was a large TV in the lounge and another in the bedroom. The decor was kinda funky - "log cabin" style, with a large fireplace in the lounge area. The kitchen was really well appointed - dishwasher, cooker, microwave, etc. I've rated the hotel as 'expensive' but thats because we paid for a self catering apartment, rather than just a room which would obviously have been cheaper. All the staff were very pleaseant and helpful. The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool/spa, as well as barbeque grills and picnic tables dotted around the site for guest use. Its in a great location. Lake Tahoe itself (beautiful place!) is a quick walk away. A couple of minutes walk will get you to the Stateline with Nevada (loads of casinos) and the Heavenly Valley Gondola. Its just over the road from a couple of large retail parks with just about everything you could need - Raley’s (supermarket), Starbucks, Subway, Baja Fresh, loads of clothing stores, souvenier stores, a book store, a cinema, etc. Its also very close to loads of activites - parasailing (I can highly recommend this!), jetskiing, kayaking, horse riding, hiking and biking. Obviously in the winter this would be snow sports instead. There's also LOADS of restaurants within a short distance (couple of minutes drive or 15 minutes walk). Its a great base to tour the local area which is REALLY beautiful (Lake Tahoe [obviously!], Emerald Bay, Tallac Historical site, Fallen Leaf Lake, Vikingsholm, etc) Overall, a great hotel, and I would stay there again. :) Part of the California May 2007 travel blog |
